RedPeach Implements Facial Recognition Tests to Ban Sex Robots and Fake Creators
The policy targets so-called "chatters"—AI software and outsourced staff who impersonate content creators. In July 2024, a U.S. class-action lawsuit was filed against a content platform and creator-management companies over the use of chatters, claiming users paid to communicate directly with creators but were instead interacting with impersonators. A recent High Court case further exposed agencies using chatters to maintain conversations and revenue streams. Cally stated that RedPeach maintains a zero-tolerance policy on AI bots and ensures genuine human interactions, protecting users from emotional scams. "If you pay to interact with a content creator, you get to see and chat to that content creator," Cally said.
